Beschreibung

3'-N-Desmethyl-3'-N-tosyl azithromycin is a synthetic antibiotic that belongs to the macrolide group of antibiotics. It is active against a wide range of microorganisms, including bacteria, protozoa, and viruses. 3'-N-Desmethyl-3'-N-tosyl azithromycin has been shown to be effective against Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Mycobacterium avium complex. This drug also has antiviral properties and can be used for treatment of influenza A virus infections. 3'-N-Desmethyl-3'-N-tosyl azithromycin is not active against fungi, so it cannot be used for treatment of fungal infections such as candidiasis or aspergillosis.
