Produktinformation
L-Aspartic acid is an amino acid that is involved in many reactions of metabolism. It has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of protein synthesis and is active against corynebacterium and human serum. L-Aspartic acid ±-amide hydrochloride (L-AA) is the molecule with an activated form, which can be used to study the properties of proteins. L-AA also has chiral properties, which can be used as a model to study protein function. One example of this property is its ability to inhibit racemase, an enzyme that converts amino acids from one form to another. L-AA inhibits streptococcus faecalis by binding to its subunits and messenger RNA, preventing protein synthesis and cell division. The amino acid also has anti-inflammatory and anti-pyogenic effects due to its ability to inhibit lysine racemase and fatty acid synthase enzymes.
