Beschreibung:YIL-781 hydrochloride is a type of mitochondrial uncoupler, which prevents ATP synthesis and restores the mitochondrial membrane potential in cells. YIL-781 hydrochloride has been shown to reverse the impaired mitochondrial functions observed in diabetic neuropathy. This drug also activates dopamine and phenylpropionic acid metabolism in wild-type mice, but not in animals with a genetic ablation of dopamine receptors. YIL-781 hydrochloride also has antidiabetic effects when administered orally to rats with experimental diabetes mellitus.
