2-(1H-Pyrrolo[3,2-c]pyridin-3-yl)ethanamine is a serotonin receptor ligand. It has affinity for the 5-HT6 receptor and has been shown to stimulate the release of serotonin in human cells. 2-(1H-Pyrrolo[3,2-c]pyridin-3-yl)ethanamine also binds to the 5HT2A and 5HT2B receptors with low affinity. This drug is an analog of skatole, which is found in feces.
