Beschreibung:(3-Cyanophenoxy)acetic acid is an analog of mandelic acid that has been shown to inhibit thrombus formation in vitro. The mechanism of action is not well understood, but it may involve the inhibition of phospholipase A2, which inhibits the production of prostaglandin E2 and thromboxane A2. It also inhibits platelet aggregation, the process by which platelets stick together and form clots that can block blood vessels. Furthermore, this compound has been shown to have antithrombotic effects in vivo in mice and rats. (3-Cyanophenoxy)acetic acid does not cause bleeding or increase the risk for bleeding.
