Beschreibung

Chloromethylphosphonic dichloride is an amide compound that inhibits enzymes such as aspartate transaminase, dihydrofolate reductase, and carbamoyl phosphate synthetase. It also induces cancer cells to undergo apoptosis by preventing the synthesis of proteins required for cell proliferation. Chloromethylphosphonic dichloride is a chemical species that is activated in the presence of water or hydroxide solution. The chloromethyl group reacts with the hydroxyl group to produce a reactive chlorine atom that can react with other chemicals to form new compounds. Chloromethylphosphonic dichloride has been shown to inhibit x-ray crystal structures of enzymes such as aminopeptidases, phosphotransferases, and phosphodiesterases.
