Beschreibung

Barpisoflavone A is a lupinus luteus extract that has antimicrobial activity. It inhibits the growth of bacteria by binding to functional groups in the bacterial cell wall and preventing cell-wall biosynthesis. Barpisoflavone A also contains isoflavones, which have been shown to have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anticancer effects. This compound has also been shown to inhibit the growth of P. aeruginosa and reduce oxidative stress in an animal model of infectious disease. Barpisoflavone A has not been studied extensively in clinical trials but has shown promising results in animal models for cryptococcus neoformans infection.
