• Beschreibung: Filgotinib is an investigational drug that blocks the activity of the Janus kinase (JAK) family of enzymes. Filgotinib has been shown to have anti-inflammatory activity in vitro and in vivo, as well as to affect iron homeostasis and cytokine levels. The mechanism of action is not well understood, but it has been hypothesized that filgotinib may inhibit the production or function of cytokines such as IL-6, TNF-α, and IFN-γ. Filgotinib has also been shown to bind dextran sulfate in chromatographic analysis. It is currently being studied for its potential use in inflammatory bowel disease.
