Beschreibung:Ketoprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that has been used to treat pain and inflammation. Ketoprofen inhibits the production of inflammatory prostaglandins, which are released by platelets in response to injury or infection. The main mechanism of action is inhibition of cyclooxygenase enzymes COX 1 and COX 2 at the level of transcriptional activation. This results in decreased levels of prostaglandins that mediate pain, fever and inflammation.
