Beschreibung

Orlistat is a drug that has been approved for the treatment of obesity. It inhibits gastric and pancreatic lipases, which are enzymes that break down dietary fats into smaller molecules to facilitate absorption. Orlistat has been shown to reduce coronary heart disease in patients with type 2 diabetes. Orlistat has also been shown to have a significant upregulation of gene expression associated with disease activity when injected into the skin of patients with primary pulmonary hypertension.
