Beschreibung

Procaine is a local anaesthetic, spinal nerve block and peripheral nerve block. It acts by inhibiting sodium ion channels and also has the ability to constrict blood vessels which reduces bleeding. It has also been shown to antagonize the function of N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptors.
