Beschreibung

Tapentadol hydrochloride is a potent analgesic that belongs to the class of centrally acting opioids. It works by binding to mu-opioid receptors in the brain and spinal cord, thereby reducing pain signals transmitted to the brain. Tapentadol hydrochloride has been shown to be effective in treating moderate-to-severe pain associated with conditions such as osteoarthritis, neuropathic pain, and cancer-related pain. However, it should be used with caution in patients taking other drugs that affect bleeding, such as warfarin or dabigatran. Tapentadol hydrochloride has also been shown to have some bronchodilatory effects similar to formoterol and sertindole but without any significant impact on asthma or strain. The drug is available in various forms such as tablets, capsules, alginate pellets, and solutions for injection or oral use.
