This drug binds to the extracellular domain of PD1 and blocks its interaction with the ligands PDL1 and PDL2. BX795 inhibits the activation of T cells by blocking the signal transduction pathway induced by PD1 binding to its ligands. This drug has been shown to have an excellent safety profile in preclinical studies and will be tested in clinical trials for cancer immunotherapy.
