Beschreibung

1-(2-Chloroethyl)azepane is a synthetic, non-steroidal apoptotic agent that binds to the σ1 receptor. It also has anti-inflammatory properties. 1-(2-Chloroethyl)azepane has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in mouse models of human cancer and to induce apoptosis in human cancer cells through receptor binding. This compound has also been shown to bind to the σ1 receptor subtype, which is found in the central nervous system and is involved in inflammatory pain. 1-(2-Chloroethyl)azepane binds selectively to this receptor with high affinity and efficacy, making it a potential candidate for treating neuropathic pain without the side effects of other drugs such as sedation or muscle relaxation.
