Beschreibung

3,3'-Di-O-methylellagic acid is a natural compound that has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of many enzymes. It inhibits the growth of cancer cells by inhibiting the production of epidermal growth factor and growth factor. This compound also has an inhibitory effect on cyclooxygenase and lipoxygenase, which are enzymes involved in the production of prostaglandins and leukotrienes. 3,3'-Di-O-methylellagic acid has been shown to be effective against chemically induced skin cancers in CD-1 mice and is being investigated for its use as a topical treatment for skin cancer. 3,3'-Di-O-methylellagic acid can be used to detect chromatographic peaks using mass spectrometry.
