Beschreibung:
2-Methylbutyl DL-2-methylbutyrate, or 2MBMB, is an ester of ethyl decanoate. It has been shown to be an efficient corrosion inhibitor that can be used in wastewater treatment plants.
The chemical composition of 2MBMB is a mixture of fatty acids with monoterpene hydrocarbons and ethyl esters. The molecule was found to have a maximal response at 10 micromolar. This product is activated by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) using the potentiostat system.
