Produktinformation
- 6,7-Dimethyl-1,4-Dihydroquinoxaline-2,3-Dione
6,7-Dimethyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinoxaline-2,3-dione is a hydrophobic molecule that has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria by binding to their DNA. 6,7-Dimethyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinoxaline-2,3-dione binds to the bacterial DNA and prevents the formation of tetramers. It also inhibits protein synthesis by binding to the ribosome. The reaction product from this drug is metabolized through a number of metabolic transformations including hydrolysis by esterases or glucuronidases and oxidation by cytochrome P450 enzymes. This hydrophobic molecule also reacts with chloramine T and organic acids to form a new compound.
