Beschreibung

Formothion is a synergistically active oxadiazole that is used as a pesticide. It has been shown to be effective against a number of pests, including beetles, roaches, and ants. Formothion is also used to control the growth of fungi on plants. The efficacy of formothion has been demonstrated in both laboratory and field experiments using surface methodology. Formothion is considered long-term and high-resistance because it persists for long periods of time in the environment, even when exposed to sunlight or water. Formothion also showed high efficacy against rats with diabetic neuropathy in a study that evaluated the effects of formothion on isolated heart cells from rats with diabetes. Formothion has also been shown to have biological properties in studies involving Triticum aestivum (wheat) seeds and fruit extracts from Citrus limon (lemon).
