Beschreibung

Camphor oxime is a chemical compound that is used as a label and is also used in affinity bioassays. It has been shown to have a number of mechanisms, including the ability to bind to proteins, nucleic acids, carbohydrates, and lipids. Camphor oxime can be used for labeling molecules or protein complexes and can be used in spectroscopy as an infrared (IR) or ultraviolet (UV) absorber. Camphor oxime also has physicochemical properties that are similar to those of other ligands and can form complexes with β-cyclodextrin. This complexation increases the solubility of camphor oxime in water. Camphor oxime has been structurally compared with analogues such as 1-amino-2-propanol and 2-methylpentane. These analogues show similar geometries and β-cyclodextrin binding properties.
