Beschreibung:1-Isopropyl-2-methoxybenzene is a colorless liquid with a viscosity of 1.07 cP at 25°C and an acylation reaction. It has ester linkages and an optical rotation of +0.5°. The compound is soluble in water and insoluble in ethanol, ether, benzene, chloroform, carbon tetrachloride, and hexane. 1-Isopropyl-2-methoxybenzene has been shown to have testicular toxicity in rats at high doses, as well as hepatotoxicity in mice at high doses. It also inhibits the replication of some viruses such as hepatitis C virus (HCV) and human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1). The compound has been classified as a possible carcinogen by the International Agency for Research on Cancer because it is structurally similar to aromatic hydrocarbons that are known or suspected carcinogens
