Beschreibung

Thevetin B is a cardiac glycoside that belongs to the group of control agents. It has been shown to have cardiotonic and antiarrhythmic effects, as well as a weak anticholinergic activity. Thevetin B also binds to gamma-aminobutyric acid receptors in the central nervous system, which may be responsible for its sedative effects.
