Beschreibung

Ecastolol is a beta-adrenergic blocker used to treat heart arrhythmias. Ecastolol is used in the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation and other disorders of the heart's electrical conduction system. Ecastolol is also used to treat congestive heart failure, high blood pressure, and angina pectoris. Ecastolol is not given by mouth because it would be destroyed in the digestive tract before it could be absorbed into the bloodstream. It is given as an injection or an intravenous infusion.
