Teuclatriol is a natural plant extract and chemoattractant protein that binds to the nuclear receptor PPARγ. It has been shown to activate this receptor, leading to increased levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines. Teuclatriol also inhibits the production of TNF-α in human lymphocytes and has immunomodulatory effects on cells that are responsible for inflammatory diseases. This compound has been shown to inhibit the production of TNF-α in human monocytic cells, as well as inhibitory effects on macrophage-like cells.
