Beschreibung:Zoledronic acid is a bisphosphonate that inhibits bone resorption by binding to the hydroxyapatite crystals, thereby preventing the dissolution of bone mineral. It also has anti-tumor and anti-metastatic effects. Zoledronic acid has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in animal models and enhance antitumor activity in combination with other agents, such as docetaxel. It also induces apoptosis by inhibiting the activation of caspases and the production of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNFα) by macrophages.
