Beschreibung:IL-15 is a cytokine that belongs to the IL-2 family and is produced by activated T cells. IL-15 binds with high affinity to the IL-15 receptor, which then signals through the JAK/STAT pathway. IL-15 has been shown to activate NK cells and stimulate their production of IFNγ. In addition, IL-15 has been shown to cause activation of certain B cells, which leads to increased antibody production. This cytokine also stimulates proliferation of CD4+ and CD8+ T cells and induces differentiation into Th1 or cytotoxic T cell subsets.
