Beschreibung

(±)-(3-Chloro-2-hydroxypropyl)trimethyl-d9-ammonium Chloride is an antimicrobial agent that has been used in wastewater treatment. It is a cationic quaternary ammonium compound, which can be used to disinfect water and kill bacteria. This compound is reactive and has been shown to have anti-infective properties against infectious diseases such as hepatitis A and B, norovirus, rotavirus, influenza A virus, and HIV. (±)-(3-Chloro-2-hydroxypropyl)trimethyl-d9-ammonium Chloride has also been shown to bind to the cell membrane of bacteria by hydrogen bonding interactions.
