Totaradiol is a diterpene that belongs to the cupressaceae family of plants. It has been shown to have potent antibacterial activity against several gram-positive bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus anthracis. Totaradiol is also known to inhibit enzymes such as acetyl coenzyme A synthetase and lipoxygenase, which are involved in the inflammatory response.
