Beschreibung

Sisunatovir hydrochloride is a synthetic, broad-spectrum antibiotic that has been shown to be active against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Sisunatovir hydrochloride inhibits cell wall synthesis in bacteria by binding to the penicillin-binding protein and blocking peptidoglycan cross-linking. It has also been shown to have antiviral properties, which have been demonstrated in vivo in mice with influenza virus. This drug also has antifungal properties, which have been shown using a yeast assay and an assay for inhibition of Candida albicans.

Sisunatovir hydrochloride belongs to the class of drugs called antimicrobials and is used for the treatment of bacterial infections such as tuberculosis.
