Beschreibung:3-Amino-2-methylphenol is a trypsin inhibitor that can be used for cancer therapy. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of proteases, such as trypsin, chymotrypsin and elastase. 3-Amino-2-methylphenol is also an inhibitor of polyclonal antibodies and has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties. This compound has been found to be stable in a nutrient solution at pH 6 and 7.3, with a half life of more than 16 hours at pH 7.3 and more than 8 hours at pH 6. 3-Amino-2-methylphenol is not soluble in water or saline, but it dissolves well in ethanol, methanol and dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO).
