6-Pyridin-3-yl-2H-pyridazin-3-one is a pharmacological compound that has been shown to have bronchodilatory effects. It binds to the thromboxane receptor and inhibits the release of thromboxane A2, which induces vasoconstriction and platelet aggregation. This drug also has a skeletal muscle relaxant effect, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the synthesis of phthalazinone, an intermediate in the synthesis of prostacyclin. 6-Pyridin-3-yl-2H-pyridazin-3-one is an inhibitor of prostaglandin synthetase, preventing the formation of prostaglandins from arachidonic acid.
