• Beschreibung: HEMISODIUM® HEPES is a buffered solution of sodium salt of HEPES, a buffer with the pH between 7.4 and 8.0, prepared from an aqueous solution of disodium hydrogen phosphate and sodium hydroxide. This buffer is used in biochemical research for its ability to inhibit voltage-dependent calcium channels and induce cell lysis. It also has antimicrobial properties that can be used as treatment for bacterial infections. HEMISODIUM® HEPES has been shown to be effective against some strains of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Mycobacterium tuberculosis in vitro.
