1-(Tetrahydrofuran-3-yl)piperazine bis(2,2,2-trifluoroacetate) is a compound that belongs to the class of natural compounds. It has shown activity against the growth of bacteria and fungi in wastewater treatment systems. 1-(Tetrahydrofuran-3-yl)piperazine bis(2,2,2-trifluoroacetate) is also used as a pharmaceutical agent in the treatment of hepatic steatosis, bowel disease, and wild type strain of mice. This compound has been shown to have an acidic pH with a melting point at 217°C. It is soluble in alcohols and ethers but not water. The compound binds to caffeic acids and other phenolic acids. It also inhibits the activity of eosinophil peroxidase and may have anti-inflammatory effects due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis at high concentrations
