• Beschreibung: Rasfonin is a natural product that was found in an extract of the plant Etoac. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of pancreatic cancer cells and have anticancer activity. Rasfonin is structurally similar to the anticancer drug temozolomide, but it does not have any known toxicity. Rasfonin binds to DNA and inhibits transcriptional activation by the nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) pathway. It also induces autophagy, which is important for maintaining cellular homeostasis, preventing tumor formation, and inducing apoptosis. This compound has been shown to inhibit proliferation of normal as well as cancerous cells in vitro and in vivo.
