Acetylthiocholine bromide has an acetylcholinesterase-inhibiting effect, which makes it a potential drug for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease and other neurological disorders. Acetylthiocholine bromide is also used in the detection of acetylcholine in biological samples, such as serum and urine.
