Beschreibung:5-Nitro-2-(morpholin-4-yl)benzoic acid is a cytotoxic agent that induces apoptosis in cells. This compound binds to tubulin and inhibits its polymerization, which leads to the disruption of microtubules. 5NMBA has potent cytotoxicity against cancer cells, including human lung cancer cells. It has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of paclitaxel polymerization, and also can disrupt the polymerization of other drugs such as colchicine and vinblastine. 5NMBA expresses itself at high levels in human lung cancer tissues and is often found in multidrug resistant tumor cells.
