2-Undecenoic Acid is a fatty acid that belongs to the family of unsaturated fatty acids. It is a colorless, viscous liquid with a mild odor. 2-Undecenoic Acid has been shown to be an antimicrobial agent that inhibits bacterial growth by disrupting the cell membrane and damaging the cytoplasm. This compound can also act as an emulsifier or polymerizing agent. 2-Undecenoic Acid is used in the production of polymers, such as nylon or polyester.
