Syn-2-Nitrobenzaldoxime is a synthetic molecule that is composed of a proton, amide and nitro. Syn-2-Nitrobenzaldoxime has been shown to be effective in the removal of nitro groups from fatty acids in low energy magnetic resonance spectroscopy experiments. This compound also has a high reactivity with chloride ions, which can be used to deprotect amides.
