Beschreibung

Methyl 4,5-dibromo-2-furancarboxylate is a chemical that has high cytotoxicity against cancer cells. It is synthesized by the reaction of methyl bromide with furan. Methyl 4,5-dibromo-2-furancarboxylate can be used to synthesize an important intermediate for the synthesis of pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals. This chemical has been shown to have cytotoxic effects on T cell leukemia cells in vitro, as well as on other types of carcinoma cells. The synthetic methods for this compound have been optimised and are relatively easy to perform.
