Beschreibung:Sertraline is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor that is used as an antidepressant. Sertraline is used to inhibit the binding of neurotransmitters to their receptors in the brain by inhibiting the reuptake of serotonin. It binds reversibly to serotonin receptors in the central nervous system and increases serotonin levels in synapses by blocking its reuptake into neurons. This drug has shown to be a useful research tool for studying protein interactions and receptor ligand interactions.
