Beschreibung

Prucalopride is a prokinetic agent that has been shown to be an effective treatment for chronic constipation. Prucalopride increases the frequency of bowel movements and improves stool consistency in patients with chronic constipation. It is also effective in patients suffering from carcinoid syndrome, which is characterized by diarrhoea, heartburn, and weight loss. Prucalopride has been shown to increase the number of bowel movements per week and improve stool consistency in patients with diarrhoea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-D). Prucalopride appears to be safe and well tolerated over long periods of time.

Prucalopride Succinate is used as a prescription medication to treat symptoms of chronic constipation, such as difficulty passing stools, hard stools, straining during defecation, and incomplete evacuation of the bowels.
