It also inhibits inflammatory gene expression in cultured human colon cells and reduces inflammation in mice with bowel disease. ZL0420 is currently being studied for its potential to treat inflammatory bowel disease and other conditions such as cancer, which are characterized by aberrant epigenetic changes.
