Beschreibung

Allantoin is a natural compound produced by many plants, most notably comfrey. It has been shown to have insect resistance properties and can be used in wastewater treatment. Allantoin has also been shown to possess chemiluminescence activity and can be used as a substrate for the sephadex g-100 chromatography method. Allantoin has disease activity and is a natural product that is easily synthesized in the laboratory. It also has an important role in energy metabolism because it is an enzyme activator.
