This drug has been shown to inhibit tumor growth by blocking the synthesis of DNA and RNA, which are key components in cell division. 4AADNP also inhibits cancer cells' ability to uptake glucose by inhibiting cellular glucose transporters. The binding affinity of 4AADNP for cancer cells is higher than for normal cells because cancer cells have more receptors for this drug
