H-D-Ala-D-Phe-OH hydrate is an amide with bioisosteres and stereoselectivity. It also has two isomers, which differ from one another only by the configuration of their side chains at C2, C3, C4, C5 and C6 positions. This compound does not have any adverse effects on intestinal cells when used for prolonged periods of time.
