Ac-Thr-Ile-Nle-psi(CH2NH) Nle-Gln-Arg-NH2 is a protease inhibitor that prevents the breakdown of proteins by inhibiting the activity of proteases. It binds to the active site of these enzymes and blocks the access of other substrates. Ac-Thr-Ile-Nle-psi(CH2NH) Nle-Gln-Arg-NH2 has been shown to bind to a number of proteases, including serine, cysteine, aspartic acid, and metalloendoproteases.
