4-Amino-N-(2-methoxyphenyl)benzenesulfonamide (AMBS) is a small molecule that interacts with electron acceptors, such as methoxyphenyl. AMBS binds to the electron donating group of methoxyphenyl and forms a stable covalent bond. The interaction of AMBS with methoxyphenyl is characterized by FT-IR and surface analysis experiments. The dimerization of AMBS can be observed in crystalline form. The hydrogen bonding between AMBS molecules is also observed in the crystal structure. 4-Amino-N-(2-methoxyphenyl)benzenesulfonamide has been shown to have an efficiency of 50%.
