1-(Aminomethyl)cyclopropanecarboxylic acid hydrochloride is an analog of cyclopropane carboxylic acid. It is a white solid that can be dissolved in water. The 1-aminomethyl group has been found to be responsible for the x-ray data, conformation and dimerization of the molecule. 1-(Aminomethyl)cyclopropanecarboxylic acid hydrochloride has shown to have anti-inflammatory properties and also displays potent antifungal activities against Candida albicans, Cryptococcus neoformans, and Aspergillus niger. This drug may also have potential as a cancer chemotherapeutic agent.
