Beschreibung

3-Amino-4-hydroxy-5-nitrobenzenesulfonic acid (3AHNBS) is used in chemical assays to detect aromatic amines. This chemical reacts with amines to form a red color, which can be measured quantitatively with an electrode. 3AHNBS has been used to measure the concentration of amine compounds in industrial wastewater and air samples. It has also been used to analyze the efficiency of electrochemical oxidation systems for the reduction of benzene and other pollutants. 3AHNBS is stable at room temperature and pressure but decomposes rapidly when heated or exposed to light. The density of 3AHNBS is 1.9 g/ml at 25 °C.
