Chronic exposure to high levels of 2AMB can cause liver damage, kidney damage, and bladder cancer. There have been reports of outbreaks of 2AMB poisoning from the use of contaminated drinking water. Chromatography has revealed the presence of 2AMB in urine samples from patients with neuropathic bladder syndrome.
