Beschreibung:
2-Amino-1H-pyrrole-3-carbonitrile is a thione heterocycle. It is a colorless to light yellow crystalline solid that is soluble in water and most organic solvents. 2-Amino-1H-pyrrole-3-carbonitrile has been used as an intermediate in the synthesis of drugs such as aminopyrrolidines, benzothiazides, and sulfonamides. The reaction of 2-amino pyrrole with formic acid leads to the formation of 2-(2'-hydroxyethylamino)ethanol (HEAE). This compound has been shown to have antibacterial activity against Gram positive bacteria such as Streptococcus pyogenes and Staphylococcus aureus.
